In their words

What clients say about the work

The floor plan changed how we use the room. Cameras no longer cross each other, the cables are tidy and labelled, and new freelancers can find their way around on the first day without asking anyone for directions.

  • Our lighting plot was clear enough for the venue's own electricians to rig without a call. Presenters looked even across the panel and the operator could balance the set quickly.

Rory Gunn · Production manager, community broadcaster
  • The sound plan listed every input in order, so changeovers between acts were calm. Monitoring was sorted before the doors opened rather than during the first song.

Catriona Ross · Event organiser, summer music festival
  • The workflow review removed two handovers we had stopped noticing. Rundowns now reach the gallery in one step, and the team spends less time asking who has the latest version.

Reading the feedback

What the comments tell us about our own work

We read every piece of feedback closely. The comments tend to return to the same few points, and those points shape how we plan and write up projects. They are less about equipment than about how a crew experiences a working day.

Clarity matters most

Clients rarely mention a particular lamp or desk. They talk about plans being easy to read and instructions being easy to follow. A drawing that a contractor can price without a phone call, or a patch list a freelancer can use on day one, is what people remember. We take that as a reminder to keep every document plain and complete.

Calm days on the job

Feedback often describes a show or event as calmer than expected. That usually traces back to small decisions made early, such as the order of inputs, the grouping of lights or the position of a control desk. These choices cost little in the planning stage and save a great deal of stress when the crew is working to time.

Honest scope and cost

People also comment on knowing in advance what was included. Our written quotations state the scope and what could change the price, and we say so when a service is not needed. Clients tell us this made decisions easier, and it keeps later conversations about the work short and friendly.
